Charming applique quilt cover of 24 8” squares ; solid and red floral print cotton scalloped appliqué corners carefully couched with cotton thread; centers of applique florals, birds, butterflies, and geometric images on hand-woven natural cotton base; 10 squares are appliquéd to appear to be divided into quarters; all hand-stitched; fairly good condition; 47” x 31” quilted; 60” x 44” handwoven indigo and faded red or purple cotton frame c 1940; p 118,119, 160 Quilts Around the World ; p 104 Quilts of Southwest China.
