MenghunSundayMarketPam's interest in textiles is long standing, but her fascination with textiles of the Chinese Minority People began in 2003, when she took a two-year assignment to work as a counselor at the International School of Tianjin, China. School vacation trips took her to all parts of China but she was particularly enthralled with the people in rugged southwest China. Over eager collecting resulted in the need to share the gorgeous textiles created by strong people living in difficult and challenging conditions. Her interest is in both older classical pieces and in the continuation of textile traditions in work done today.

Returning to her home in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Pam, is now selling some of her textile treasures and as well as Miao silver work on the textiletreasures.info web site and at local markets. She has been representing silversmiths from Guizhou Province at the Santa Fe International Folk Art Market since 2006.
