Tony Chen of Guizhou China Youth Travel Service in Guiyang has guided me on several of my trips to hard to reach villages of Guizhou. I initially located him through his writing about a special festival in his home village of Upper Langde, Guizhou, where his father had been the headman for 30 years.

I will be giving a talk and slide presentation of Chinese Minority Textiles and Silver at the International Folk Art Museum in Santa Fe, New Mexico, on Sunday, August 2nd at 2:00PM. The talk is inconjunction with the exhibit Writing with Thread: Traditional Textiles of Southwest Chinese Minorities
